The DreamSerene™ Warranty Information

5 Year Mattress Protector Warranty

Caber Sure Fit Inc. (CSI) warrants to the owner of this DreamSerene mattress protector (“Protector”) that if the fabric or laminate becomes damaged due to a defect in its manufacture during either a) normal household use for a period of five (5) years from the Date of Purchase; or b) institutional, commercial or other non-household use for a period of two (2) years from the Date of Purchase, CSI will, subject to the other terms and exclusions herein, replace the Protector provided that the following conditions (the “Care Conditions”) have been met during such period:

  1. The Protector has only been used on a mattress on a bed and for the purposes for which the bed was designed;
  2. After any liquid or other foreign material has come into contact with the Protector, the Protector has been machine washed as quickly as possible, preferably while still fresh and wet, and in any case within at most twenty four hours after such spillage or contact;
  3. The Protector has only been washed using warm/hot wash at a temperature of not more than 40°C/104°F and tumble dried together with other linens or towels (never dry alone in the dryer) at a temperature of not more than 40°C/104°F;
  4. The Protector has NOT been dry cleaned;
  5. The Protector has NOT been ironed; and
  6. bleach or bleach alternative has NOT been used in washing the Protector, and no bleach or bleach alternative has otherwise contacted it

This Warranty does not apply to Protectors supplied in fulfillment of this Warranty

Mattress and Protector Warranty

If the Protector was purchased together with a new mattress and both items are shown on the same sales receipt, CSI will also guarantee the mattress surface (but not the sides of the mattress unless the protector offers 3-sided protection, the foundation, base, carpet, bed, bedding or other associated items, for which CSI shall have no responsibility) against staining, provided that the stained mattress surface (and sides of the mattress, if the protector offers 3-sdied protection) was covered by the Protector at the time the spillage occurred, during either a) normal household use for a period of five (5) years from Date of Purchase; or b) institutional, commercial or other non-household use for a period of two (2) years from the Date of Purchase, and provided further that the mattress and Protector  were purchased from an authorized  CSI distributor and that a manufacturer’s warranty on the mattress is still in effect and that the Care Conditions have been met during the Warranty period. This Warranty does not apply to Protectors and mattresses supplied in fulfillment of this Warranty.

THIS MATTRESS AND PROTECTOR WARRANTY IS VOID IF ANY ATTEMPT IS MADE TO CLEAN THE MATTRESS OTHER THAN BY WIPING AWAY THE MATERIAL SOILING THE MATTRESS.

CSI reserves the right to decide, in the case of a validated claim, whether to have the mattress professionally cleaned or to replace the surface fabric. Subject to all Care Conditions being fulfilled, CSI may, at its sole discretion, replace the stained mattress with a mattress of comparable quality, if the original mattress has been damaged as a direct result of the failure of the Protector.

THESE WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER OR APPLY TO normal wear and tear, indelible stains, normal soiling from everyday use, odors, perspiration, damage from cigarettes and other hot or foreign objects, damage by pets or other animals or insects, damage from stretching or ripping, damage from stains caused by inks, nail polish, cosmetics, bleach, non-food related grease, corrosives, alcohol, dyes, solvents, or mishandling or abuse.
Protectors are designed to keep the mattress sleeping surface (and sides, if the protector offers 3-sided protection) free from stains and stains on the Protector should easily wash out when the wash and care instructions (see the Care Conditions) are followed. 

How to make a Claim
To register a claim you must call our help-line 1-800-520-3152 within two (2) days of the incident. The product(s) must be returned to a Customer Service Representative for inspection and validation. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THE DAMAGED PROTECTOR TO THE RETAILER FROM WHICH YOU PURCHASED IT. The original purchase receipt for mattress and Protector, as applicable, must be retained and satisfactory evidence of the original receipt must be provided to validate this warranty.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Warranties replace all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty or condition as to the quality or fitness of the Protector for any particular purpose, or that the Protector is of merchantable quality, and no person is authorized to assume or undertake for CSI any other liability in connection with the sale of this product. CSI shall not be liable for any consequential or indirect damage of whatever kind. THE LIABILITY OF CSI SHALL NOT EXCEED THE VALUE OF A NEW PROTECTOR OR, IN THE CASE OF A MATTRESS AND PROTECTOR WARRANTY, THE VALUE OF A NEW MATTRESS AND A NEW PROTECTOR. This Warranty is exclusively made by CSI and is not made by or on behalf of its distributor/s or any other party.
